Miami Startup Glamo Hopes To Make Salon Appointments Easier

Glamo

Miami startup company Glamo is hoping that they can make the process of making an appointment at your local beauty salon that much easier, as the beauty application allows customers to book their stylist appointments, and even have them come right to your home.

“Being from Jamaica and being around Jamaican parents, I was naturally born into entrepreneurship,” Rishielle Giscombe, founder of Glamo said in an interview with Refresh Miami. “When I moved to Florida, I always had an inclination to help people, so I started going to my friend’s houses to do their hair. That’s when Glamo was born.”

“I instantly thought, ‘this is a game-changer’,” Giscombe said. “So I hired web designers that helped me build out this next phase of my business, and that’s when the magic happened.”

The website was launched in 2018 and is aiming to become a global company.
