Boca Raton based startup TicketRev has landed $500K in pre-seed funding, led by 500 Startups, Soma Capital and a number of angel investors as well, including the Minnesota Twins Accelerator by Techstars.
It continues a year of great momentum for the company, picking up where they made noise back in April at eMerge, where they won $100,000, a grand prize for winning a pitch competition sponsored by Babson College.
Now, the team can focus on building out the platform where buyers post the tickets they’re looking for and the prices they’re willing to pay, which they aim to be a more fluid and transparent form of the ticket marketplace.
The company hope to work alongside the Minnesota Twins team to bring their platform to the next level, via the TechStars platform.
